THE TURTLES INTO THE RUBBISH

Hello, my name is Alara. I’m 17. I have a brother called Buğra. He is 12. We walked together in the nature every weekend. This weekend we wanted to go to the seaside. We got ready to walk the beach. While walking on the way, we noticed that there was a turtle in the middle of the road. It couldn’t walk. We walked towards it to help. When we came closer, we noticed the problem.   My brother said ‘Look at the turtle sister!’ The legs and fins of the turtle are full of rubbish.’ Then we cleaned the turtle from the rubbish and gave some water to it. We bought it and went to the beach together. We were shocked when we saw the beach. Because there were a lot of rubbish on the beach. I took a photo of the beach filled with rubbish and posted it on my social media account. One hour later, some people came to help us to clean the beach. They had trash bags. We all started to clean the beach. I understood that the photo of dirty beach was affected to the people. Some of the peop...

PLANT TREES, NOT CUT THEM DOWN

One day, we were solving problems on the test at the class. When everyone finished the test, we started to chat. Then one of the students began to count how many paper had a person per capita in the class during the whole academic year. She said that the number of the paper per capita for a person in the class was 371. When the teacher asked us what we would do with these worksheets, some of us said that they brought them to the village to burn into the stove. Some of us said that they would tear them to relax and throw them into the dustbin. Everyone had different opinions to evaluate the worksheets. While the other students sharing their ideas, an interesting idea came to my mind. I raised my hand to share my idea. When I stood up, everyone fell into silence. ‘Teacher, if we collect the waste papers and worksheets in the class, we can get tons of waste paper. Tons of trees are cut down to produce these papers. We can send them to recycling factories.’ My friend ideas were only w...

My Thoughts about Our Project and Our Aim

With this project we wanted to raise awareness about recycling and leaving a liveable planet for the next generation. Our planet is dying and there are a lot things we can do to save it. We learnt that thanks to the our project.        We also learnt that with minor touches such as recycling bottles, reuse papers we can make major changes that can make our planet much more beautiful. Instead of buying new things we can use our recycled materials. I think we have shown that everyone with our project. We made our own pencil cases out of waste bottles. One of our partners made beautiful objects using waste cardboards. This project has proved that we are the only ones who can leave our marks with our beautiful works. I want to congratulate every partnet and student working with us on this project.  Keep recycling and make our world a better place.

Recycling of waste materials

Recently, our teacher told us to design a project from waste materials. Then our teacher said that you can be a group among you and we formed a group of 3 people with our friends. Then we decided to make a rocket and we immediately went to design our rocket. But first we thought about the materials first. The materials were waste cardboard, waste pet bottles, scissors, silicone, etc. Then we drew our project.   In the next week, we brought the items and started to do our project. We glued, painted, etc. I was about to finish the rocket, but it was left for the next week. Then we painted the rocket, cut it and finished the rocket. This project taught us a lot, it taught us to recycle, to make good use of materials. The materials we used in this project could have been thrown into nature and could have harmed nature, but we saved nature from a waste material. You can save nature by doing projects like this. We can also spread this thing around us and make them do it too. We can...

Recycling Centre Visit

First we went to the compost facility. Frankly, it smelled a little bad, but a dog named Compost greeted us at the normal entrance and was very sweet. Afterwards, we went in and the lady on duty there was going to tell us.First, he talked about what was in the compost. Fruits and vegetables that had fallen to the ground at the end of the market and some of them rotted were collected in the composts, and the brown things were placed in them.Things like sawdust, grass and grass were added. This mixture is then left under the sun until it rots and the microorganisms in it die. Making compost during the winter months takes approximately 2 hours._It took 3 months. Afterwards, it passes through a large sieve because it contains many small and large particles. Then our compost is placed in average packages and placed in flower gardens or The composts are sent to farmers and can wait for years because the microorganisms in them die, meaning no rotting occurs in the composts. Also stray an...

Super Recycle Boy

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Andy. His house was near a beach. One summer day when he was coming back from school, he saw lots of people gathered on the beach. There was a big fat whale dead on the beach. He went near the beach to see the whale and heard people saying that there was lots of trash, plastic cups and bottles found in the whale's stomach. Andy was very sad and when h e walked home he  told his mum about the dead whale. His mum told him how everyone on the planet, including plants and animals were endangered because of people not recycling the garbage properly. She also told him that everyone is responsible to protect the oceans, lakes, forests, plants and animals. Andy slept thinking of ways of what could be done to protect the planet. Next morning when Andy woke up, he saw  strange  signals on his bracelet that kept telling him directions to different locations. Andy followed those directions that kept coming to his watch .  He s...
